The first impression to Mel. is that you can see the modern and classic buildings on the street when you take a stroll around the city. Like the most modern building - Eureka Tower, it's a place where you can see the stunning view of Mel; the most impressive 19th-century buildings - the state library of Victoria, which is a Mel. central landmark as well.

MEL is a vibrant city famous for its cafes, restaurants, bars, fashion, shopping, art, gardens and world class events such as the Melbourne Cup, Formula 1 Grand Prix and Australian Tennis Open. You can find a spot to grab a coffee about every 20 meters in Mel. And you can dine in any style of cuisine because of the cultural mix or explore night life at bars. Speaking of shopping, Mel. is on the cutting edge of trends with such a variety shops on offer such as Mel central, Bourke street mall, Harbour town..etc. There must be something for everyone, especially on Boxing Day.
墨爾本今年剛獲選為全世界最適合居住的城市..流行時尚的氣息..藝術文化的氛圍..國際性的運動賽事..聖誕與新年節慶的氣氛..處處都可感受到城市的熱情與活力..墨爾本整個城市總是瀰漫著咖啡香..大概每走個幾十公尺就會看到一家cafe..還有很多各國的料理..因為這裡就像個小型聯合國..很多外來移民..所以異國美食也就不足為奇..夜晚的墨爾本熱鬧依舊..許多特色酒吧藏身在巷弄之間..澳洲人最喜歡三不五時就來一杯..在夏天酒吧外的露天座位總是座無虛席.
The city is bustling with life. And MEL's public transport system is easy to access. Get around on a train, tram or bus using just one ticket. It's really convenient. You can see a carriage for tourist, buskers on the street. Or you can take the time to seek out Mel's suburb and discover their unique character. I went to St. Kilda Beach to spend a leisure evening seeing the magnificent sunset and penguins. There are also a lot of cafes, bars to choose from with breath taking views if you want to. I really enjoyed the experience of Brighton Beach, The rainbow houses against the beach, what a beautiful picture. Suddenly I felt a world away from the hustle and bustle with the amazing views. I must say Skyhigh Mount Dandenong and Wandin cherry farm are perfect places to indulge your senses and you can let the spectacular views wash away your cares. Just an hour from Mel. city, the scenery changes dramatically.
墨爾本市區每天都有熙熙攘攘的人潮..觀光客..上班族..學生..街頭表演藝人..打工度假族群..還有各式各樣的交通工具..電車..腳踏車..汽車..機車..馬車..巴士..同時出現在同一個十字路口等紅綠燈..總是禮讓行人為優先..很少聽到喇叭聲..一切是那麼的亂中有序..而且你只要買一張票就可以搭乘巴士..電車或是火車..非常方便..趁著幾個天晴的好日子去了St. Kilda 海灘看企鵝跟夕陽、Brighton 海灘看彩虹小屋..還有Wandin採櫻桃(可以看到隔壁的葡萄園酒莊喔..綠油油一片很舒服)..幾個墨爾本的郊區都有各自特色..來到這些地方都會暫時的拋開一切煩惱的現實生活..享受片刻的寧靜..
I think there's one thing interesting during the Christmas month - Mail to Santa Claus..Melbourne is one of the first cities in the world to celebrate the new year.
The whole city come alive at midnight with the fireworks display by the Yarra River, the art projection on St. Paul's Cathedral for celebrating the new year of 2012.
聖誕節期間墨爾本有個蠻有趣的活動..任何人都可以寄信給聖誕老公公..市區有個聖誕老公公的專門郵筒..一個星期內會收到回信喔..果然很應景..雪梨跟墨爾本應該是全世界第一個慶祝新年的城市..2012年的第一道曙光..墨爾本的人潮聚集在聯邦廣場跟亞拉河畔倒數看煙火..聖保羅教堂還有慶祝新年的投影..午夜12點..全城歡欣鼓舞..
By the way, Mel. is famous for having four seasons in one day, the weather is changeable on any given day. It's hailing on Christmas Day. The temperature was 43 degree on the 2nd day of 2012 and then downed to 13 degree on the 4th day of 2012. What a weather !
對了..墨爾本有一日四季的特色天氣..我曾經經歷一天溫度在短短6小時從28度降到10度..差點沒冷死..聖誕節當天下冰雹..2012第二天溫度竟然飆到43度..第四天又降到13度..什麼怪異的天氣..
